Making cement in 7 Days to Die is simple.

Since you’ll be building for most of your 7 Days to Die adventure, you’ll need some materials more than others. Especially if you want to strengthen your defenses. One of these materials is cement. This guide is about how to make cement in 7 Days to Die.

How to Get Cement in 7 Days to Die

There are two basic ways to get cement. The first is melting stone using the Forge, and the second is harvesting pallets with blue cement bags on them.

Melting Stone in the Forge

If you have built a Forge in your base, you’ll need two materials to make cement. The first of these can be any kind of wood, wooden weapons, or clothing that you can use as fuel. The second is the main material we’ll be smelting: Stone. You can find small stones more easily, just like clay.

Once the materials are ready, follow these steps to make cement:

  1. Approach the Forge and press the “E” key to open the interface.
  2. Put all the fuel materials you have into the fuel compartment.
  3. Put the small stones in your hand into the smelting section. You can split them into two blocks to process them faster.
  4. When the small stones start to turn into smelting ones, the “Cement” on the left side becomes clickable. Of course, only if you learned it in the skill tree.
  5. Click on the cement and when you have enough stones, choose how many you want to make and press craft.

Harvesting Cement Bags

If you’d rather go out exploring and looting than spend time at your base crafting, you’ll have to find pallets that spawn in different places on the map.

These pallets, which you’ll often find in warehouses, factories, or construction sites on the map, also spawn in Point of Interest areas. Make sure you have a shovel with you. Because with the shovel you can collect these cement bags and pallets very quickly.

Things You Can Use Cement For

Although cement is a very important material, it doesn’t do much on its own. You can use it to make two other important materials: Stone and Concrete Mix. For both, you’ll need the Cement Mixer, one of the most basic crafting tables in the game, just like Forge. Approach it and press “E” to open the interface.

Here’s the complete list of materials you’ll need:

  • To make Stone: 10 x Crushed Sand, 18 x Small Stone, 4 x Cement.
  • To make Concrete Mix: 1 x Crushed Sand, 1 x Small Stone, 1 x Cement.

As you can see, it doesn’t make much sense to make stone with cement. Instead, you’d be better showing off your mining skills. Instead, concentrate on making Concrete Mix, because you’ll need this material for many things.

Cement is one of many resources that you will need to get comfortable in the wasteland of 7 Days to Die. Harvest them and make use of them as much as you possibly can:
