MultiVersus: Best Garnet Perks

Updated:
Garnet Best Build Multiversus

Garnet is one of the unique characters in MultiVersus. Just like in their original show, Steven Universe, Garnet has a multitude of surprises prepared for the enemies. To pilot Garnet well, you’re going to need practice and a good build. Luckily, you’ve come to the right place. Here are the best Garnet perks in MultiVersus.

How to Play Garnet in MultiVersus

Garnet is a horizontal fighter with a big skill ceiling, that can bring a lot to your arsenal if mastered. Garnet is at her best when fighting on the ground. Similar to other heroes like Taz, she has great knockbacks and stun locks that can catch unsuspecting enemies off-guard and make for some easy kills.

The biggest downside of Garnet is by far her lack of 1v1 potential. Garnet is really hard to make work in the 1v1 game mode. In fact, she ranked among the lowest among our best characters in the MultiVersus tier list. We highly recommend you play Garnet exclusively in 2v2, for the best results.

A hybrid between support and bruiser, Garnet has unrivaled versatility. She can play the role of a horizontal, zoning bruiser or a tank-support when coupled with an assassin like Harley Quinn or a caster like Buggs Bunny.

Best Perks for Garnet in MultiVersus

Garnet is best utilized in tandem with other players. Her abilities are devastating when hit, but they can be quite hard to land. This is why you need a teammate to distract other players. The best perks for Garnet focus on giving her more survivability and more time to hit abilities.

Garnet pairs best with heroes that can lock enemies up OR add debuffs like fire or armor piercing to enemies. Also, avoid playing them with other supports. Let Garnett be the support and have another class put on the carry pants.

Best Synergies: Batman, Superman, Harley Quinn, Arya Stark

Signature Perk – Marker

Marker is THE perk for Garnet, especially in 2v2. It creates markers that can be dashed towards AND, while in the dash, massively knocks all enemies to the direction in which Garnet is going.

This gives her huge terrain control and makes her one of the best zoning characters in the game. Very few characters have the potential to control the map as much as Garnet.

Perk 1 – That’s Flammable, Doc!

The first perk synergizes perfectly with Marker. “That’s Flammable, Doc!” lets Garnet and her teammates ignite enemies for three seconds after knocking them back. Since this is the way to play Garnet, your enemies will be burning throughout the whole game, if you land your spells.

Throughout the course of a match, it adds up to insane amounts of damage.

Perk 2 – Kryptonian Skin

A basic perk that gives Garnet one attribute that she sorely needs – damage reduction. Kryptonian Skin gives Garnet at their team a 4% damage reduction. It may not sound like a lot, but during a match, you will take a lot of hits and the damage will start to ramp up.

Kryptonian Skin might save around 20 damage in close matches, and that’s huge. And you will HAVE to get in and take the damage for your team.

Perk 3 – Make it rain, Dog!

The last perk increases Garnet’s (and her team’s) projectile speed by 20%. Since some of the most important parts of Garnet’s kit are projectiles that create markers, this is an all-around great perk that makes your life easy.

As we mentioned, Garnet is more of a support like character. However, if you are looking to learn a bruiser or an assassin, we have a few guides for you:
