Raft How to Stop Shark Attacks

When you just started playing Raft and thought it was a nice, cute game, a shark decided it is time to ruin your day. Unfortunately, many Raft fans suffer daily shark attacks that tend to have horrible results. This is why we will show you how to stop the negative effects of these shark attacks in Raft and get you cruising!

To protect your Raft from these shark attacks and stop them, you need to build Foundation Armor. By building this armor on top of your already set Raft foundation, the shark will stop dealing damage to the structure. It will become invulnerable. Because of this, Bruce will stop attacking the Raft indefinitely.

The only little problem one might have with this method is that you will need a lot of Metal Ingots and Nails to do it. It costs 1 Metal Ingot and 2 Nails to put some armor on one foundation. Luckily, you only need to protect the outer layer of the ground floor. If the foundation isn’t incredibly large, this should be easy enough.

How to Build Foundation Armor in Raft

The Foundation Armor can be hard to build for a rookie. If you do not know how to acquire metal or scraps to craft the metal ingots or nails, or how to build the Foundation Armor, continue reading.

Getting Metal and Scraps

Players that are relatively new to the game have no idea that metal is sitting right under their noses. Here is how you can easily get Metal and Scraps in Raft:

  1. Find an island. The size does not matter.
  2. Anchor your Raft a bit further than you normally would.
  3. Lure the shark away from the Raft using Shark Bait (or kill it) and approach the island.
  4. Go underwater and look close to the island for Metal Ore and Scraps. Use a Hook to collect them.

If you anchor the Raft far enough from the island, the shark will first follow you to the island and then go back to the Raft. Doing this will allow players to freely loot the resources they need without being bothered by Bruce. If you killed it, then you only have 8 minutes until it’s back.

Do this for more islands if the amount of metal ore or scraps isn’t satisfactory.

Making Metal Ingots and Nails

To make Metal Ingots, all you need to do is put one metal ore into a smelter and wait for 80 seconds. However, if you want to do this more efficiently, we recommend building more smelters.

To make Nails, you need to open up your inventory, select the nail-looking icon on the left, and select to craft Nails. You will need 2 Scraps to make a nail.

Making Foundation Armor

Now that you have all the necessary resources, here is how to make Foundation Armor in Raft:

  1. Pull out your Build Hammer.
  2. Hold the “Hold For More Parts” button shown on the screen.
  3. Go to the top of the options and then to the right. At the end of the newly appeared choices, you will find the Foundation Armor. Select it.
  4. Choose an already built foundation and make the armor over it.

And now you know how to finally stop the attacks of the shark in Raft. Of course, there is always something new you can learn about Raft, so we are just going to leave a few guides here for interested travelers:
