Charms are some of the most valuable items in Diablo Immortal. First introduced in Diablo 2, they are a piece of history that many remember fondly from the early days of Diablo. However, they received a bit of a change in the latest installment. Here’s how to get charms in Diablo Immortal.
What are Charms in Diablo Immortal?
Those who’ve played Diablo 2 might have a good idea of what charms are. First introduced in the 2000 masterpiece, charms were items that gave bonuses simply by being in your inventory. They are very similar in Immortal, the only difference being that they now have a special inventory spot.
In Diablo Immortal, you need every bonus you can get to strengthen your character and upgrade your gear. Especially if you are a free-to-play player. Charms may seem like small, insignificant bonuses at first, but when they add up together they can buff your character by a lot.
They start off small, but, over time, they can be upgraded and even imbued to give the exact bonuses your character needs.
How to Get Charms in Diablo Immortal
Charms unlock at level 56 for all players. If you’ve completed the story, chances are you already have a few charms. They are given as rewards at random points in the campaign. The bonuses you get from those charms will be random. They are given to the players mostly to get them acquainted with all in-game mechanics.
The most reliable way to get the charms, however, is the Hilts Trader. Whether you are free-to-play or pay-2-win, the Hilts Trader vendor is a great way for you to min-max any part of your build, like charms or gems. The Hilt Trader resides in the northeast of Westmarch. As their name implies, you will need Hilts to purchase anything from them.
The Hilt Trader’s inventory will reset every day and will contain random items. They will always have charms for sale, though, so make sure to check every day and get yours. Each charm costs 100 Hilts and you can get up to three per week.

How to Change Charm Bonuses Diablo Immortal
Charms, just like most items in Diablo Immortal, can be upgraded. They start off with a 2% random bonus at Rank 1 and can be upgraded up to Rank 5. At Rank 5 they give five different bonuses.
The bonuses they give are not general, but rather specific skill bonuses. For example, you can get charms with a 2% Corpse Lance bonus. Meaning it is of no use to a class like the Wizard. And this is where the interesting part is.
You can change charm bonuses at the Charm Crafstman in Westmarch. To upgrade the charms that you DO need, you’re going to have to “Salvage” the ones that you don’t. Salvaging them will give you powder which you can then use to Imbue the charms.
This is why it’s important to always go and buy charms from the Hilt Trader. You will need a lot of them.

How to Imbue Charms
First, for charms to be eligible for imbuing you need to turn them into a skill stone. You do this by ranking them up to rank 5 and then paying 500 platinum to the Charm Craftsman. After you turned it into a skill stone, it’s ready for imbuing.
Imbuing charms allows you to change the skills that your class does not use from the charm. Additionally, it gives you a random chance to roll 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10% of that specific bonus you may need. Once the imbuing process begins, the charm will choose one random good skill that is already on it and replace one that your class does not use.
Charms are also tradable at the Market, so if a charm is terrible for your character but really good for another class, you can consider selling it to make a profit. Be careful, however. Once a charm is equipped it becomes bound to your character, making it untradable.
Just like other end-game systems from Diablo Immortal, it will take some time to get the stones you need or want, so don’t get discouraged if you don’t hit your dream charm on the first try. The system is also reasonably accessible to free-to-play players, so don’t worry about that.
