How to Play Without Bots in Ready or Not

Updated:
Playing Ready or Not without bots is very tense.

One of the best tactical FPS games released in recent years is undoubtedly Ready or Not. It’s a game focused on teamwork and precise execution. You can either complete missions with a team of friends, random players, or AI bots. But what if you want to go alone? Here’s how to play without bots in Ready or Not.

As you can imagine, everything is realistic in the game, which is the spiritual successor of SWAT 4. In fact, the characters controlled by artificial intelligence can’t fully adapt to this environment. If you can’t join your friends, you can play the challenging missions on your own. Well, at least technically.

How to Play Without Bots in Ready or Not

Does the name Lone Wolf sound familiar? In fact, it’s a game mode that the first Resident Evil games launched years ago. A mode in which you’ll remove NPCs or bots that replace real players in games that are normally designed to be played online or with your friends.

Unfortunately, this or a similar mod isn’t available in Ready or Not. So if you don’t have friends to play with, you won’t be able to start the missions alone. There always will be bots. However, you still have the option to play the missions alone. How?

As always, make all the preparations before the mission you want to complete. Choose your weapons, equipment, and start the mission with the bots. Then order the bots that are waiting with you in the spawn area to stay there. So when you enter the building, they’ll wait in the spawn area.

If you don’t know which keys to use for these commands, check out the guide to the best keybinds we prepared for you.

Lone Wolf Mode

At the time of writing this guide, there’s no official Lone Wolf mod yet. In other words, it’s not possible to play Ready or Not without bots in an official. The only method you can use is to tell the bots to stay in the spawn zone, as we described above.

However, this request is often made by the player community. Similar threads have been opened in the Steam Community forums of the game. At the moment there’s no solution, but keeping in mind that Ready or Not is a game that grows with the players’ wishes and suggestions, this mode may arrive after a while.

Completing missions by yourself will require much more effort than usual. Which is why you need to gear yourself up with all the best equipment for your mission:
