A very unique way of aiming available in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer is canted aiming. You have probably seen this technique in campaigns of both Modern Warfare 2019 and Modern Warfare 2. But now you can actually use it in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer so here’s how to unlock canted laser sight.
Canted laser aiming, as the name suggests, is using primarily a laser to aim. So you are not using any optics. Instead, you need a canted laser attachment: Canted Vibro-Dot 7.
How to Unlock Canted Vibro-Dot 7 in Modern Warfare 2
This laser is the only attachment you can unlock in Modern Warfare 2 that will allow you to use canted sight aiming.
To unlock the Canted Vibro-Dot 7 attachment you have to:
- Unlock the TAQ-56 assault rifle by reaching level 19
- Level up the TAQ-56 assault rifle to level 10
For the record, TAQ-56 is an incredible AR that you might want to level up anyway. Once you are done with that you will have the Canted Vibro-Dot 7 at your disposal.
It can be used on almost any weapon in the game including multiple SMGs, ARs, and Marksman Rifles. However, this attachment blocks optics. That means you can’t install any scope on your weapon while the laser is on.
The laser is also constantly visible to everyone so you need to be careful where you aim and how fast you move your crosshair.
Canted aiming definitely has its uses. For example, Marksman Rifles become practically broken using this laser as you don’t have the obstructing scope in front of you. On the other hand, if you want to play more tactically, it may be better to stick to more traditional options.
