Once you get into the mid-to-late game, you will need titanium ingots. It is a useful resource that will let players use the high-end tools, weapons, and equipment in Raft. Getting that safe out of there!

The Raft community can mainly get titanium ores through Treasure Hunting, in various briefcases and safes. This method is the most consistent one, as the others are just circumstantial.

All one needs to do to get titanium in Raft is to:

  1. Use the Metal Detector on any island they find. If at least one dot is red, players will know that there is a hidden treasure on the land.
  2. Explore the island as the lights keep turning on one by one until the green lights are full.
  3. Stop when all the dots are lit. Use the shovel to dig.
  4. If the treasure is a safe or a briefcase, you found titanium ore.
  5. Check the Metal Detector. If there are still dots lit up, there is more treasure to find. If not, leave and find a new island.
  6. Repeat.

Other places one might find titanium ore are:

  • Next to the blueprint for the Metal Detector on Caravan Island. There is a crate with one titanium ore.
  • The secret basement, hidden in the plantation area in Tangaroa. In this basement, players can find three suitcases and three safes.
  • Under the crane in the storage area in Tangaroa. There are five ores down there.
  • In the bunkers of Temperance. You can find 5 ores.
  • At Trading Posts, for 3 Trash Cubes and 1 Trade Coin.

For experienced Raft fans, finding titanium will be easy, but if you have any questions about how to use and make the Metal Detector, continue reading.

Getting really close to that treasure!

Gamers can look for the Metal Detector Blueprint on Caravan Island. They have to follow the pipe to the bottom of the ocean to find it. To make the Metal Detector you will need 12 Plastic, 6 Scrap, and 1 Battery. When it breaks after use, players will have to craft a new one to take its place.

Here is how to use the Metal Detector in Raft:

  • Equip it and hold the left mouse button to turn it on.
  • The dots represent how close you are to treasure. Red means far, yellow means almost close, and green means close.
  • If not even one dot is lit, there is no treasure on the island.
  • The durability of the Detector falls whenever you activate it. If no dot is lit, then it doesn’t lose durability.
  • There are four types of rewards you can get from Treasure Hunting: Trash, Suitcase, Safe, and Tiki Piece. Players can see that each treasure type looks different from the other.
  • Small islands have 1 Treasure, Large Islands have 2-3 Treasures, and Balboa has 3-6.

And now you know how to get titanium ore and use the Metal Detector in Raft. Of course, there is always something new you can learn about Raft, so we are just going to leave a few guides here for interested drifters:
