The Sims 4 players may often find themselves wanting to move sims out of their households. This can be for certain community challenges, a change of scenery, or to remove an annoying sim. Regardless of the reason, there are several ways players can move sims out of households.
Move Sims Out With Manage Households
The Sims 4 players looking to move their sims into a new household will often find another family living there. Selecting the lot and clicking on the more options button (three dots) on the bottom of the screen provides players with three options.
- Moveout Household
- Evict Household
- Manage Household
Moveout Household takes players back to the Manage Worlds page. Players can then move the selected sim’s household into a new lot. Evict Household, will completely remove the household from the world.
The sims in that household can still appear in the world, however, they will remain in the household management section without a home.
Manage Household, will bring up the household information pop-up. Players can move sims between households and create new households by clicking on the “Transfer Sims Between Households” button.
This will bring up a new window where players can manually split and merge the household. This window also gives players the ability to move around household funds between each new household in The Sims 4.
Using the Computer or Phone to Move
Players can also move entire households or a single sim using the phone or computer. By selecting the phone icon beneath a sims picture, the option to split or move the current active household is available.
To find these options on a computer, players will need to scroll to the household section. If players use this method to move a single sim from the active household, they will be taken to the lot the selected sim now inhabits.
