Ambrosia is one of the most unique meals in The Sims 4, thanks to its ability to bring dead Sims back to life. Making Ambrosia is a long process, and will require you to seek out some of The Sims 4’s rarest items. Fortunately, it’s easy if you know how. We’ll cover exactly how to make Ambrosia down below.
Gathering Ambrosia Ingredients
You’ll need to find three ingredients to make Ambrosia: a Death Flower, an Angelfish, and a Potion of Youth.
Finding a Death Flower
To find a Death Flower, you’ll have to first hit level 5 in Gardening. You can do this by planting, growing, and caring for plants. Once you’ve reached level 5, you’ll unlock the ability to graft parts of plants onto other plants. You’ll have to perform a series of grafts to get Death Flowers.
Here are the grafts you’ll need to perform:
- Graft a Cherry to an Apple to create Pomegranate
- Graft a Lily to a Snapdragon to create an Orchid
- Graft a Pomegranate to an Orchid to create Death Flowers
With the Death Flowers created, you’re free to harvest the plant and collect the first ingredient for the Ambrosia.
Finding an Angelfish
You’ll need to hit level 3 in the Fishing skill to find an Angelfish. You can do this by fishing at various bodies of water, and by reading Fishing skill books. Once you’ve hit level 3, you’ll unlock the ability to fish with bait and be ready to start looking for an Angelfish.
There are a few fishing spots where you can find Angelfish in. The most popular is the small river in the bottom-right corner of Willow Creek. Fish here and you’ll find Angelfish easily.
Buying a Potion of Youth
The final ingredient you’ll need to collect to make Ambrosia is the Potion of Youth, a purchasable item in the rewards store. You can access this store by clicking the present icon in a Sim’s Aspiration menu.
You’ll find the Potion of Youth in the store, selling for 1,500 satisfaction points. If you don’t quite have 1,500 satisfaction points, you can get more by fulfilling your Sim’s whims and aspirations.
Making Ambrosia in The Sims 4
Making Ambrosia in The Sims 4 requires a Sim to have a maxed out Gourmet Cooking Skill. You can achieve this quickly by cooking the highest level dishes available to you.
With all three ingredients collected, Sims with a level 10 Gourmet Cooking Skill will be able to create Ambrosia by choosing to ‘Cook a Gourmet Meal’ on their menu. Once the Ambrosia is cooked, you can choose any ghost Sim within your household to eat the Ambrosia and be restored to life.
How to Get Ambrosia With Cheats
If you are looking for a specific cheat to get Ambrosia. Well, there isn’t one. You can get the ingredients by using hidden objects cheat. Or you can use cheats to max out your specific skills. Both will accelerate the making process but will not give you the Ambrosia itself.
