Jobs are hard work. But, if you want a successful career it’s something you’ll have to do. Sims are no different. Just like in real life, to make money it seems you may need to get a job. But what happens when you want or need to quit a particular job? Here’s how to quit your job in The Sims 4.

How to Change Jobs in The Sims 4

There are many reasons why you would want to change your job in The Sims 4. Your sim can get sick of their job and get stressed out, or maybe you just want a better job that earns more money. Although limited, the job system in The Sims 4 works surprisingly well and eliminates more boring or mundane parts of quitting or changing jobs.

Let’s say you want to change the career of your sim. Here’s what you have to do to change jobs and start a new career:

  • Go to your phone and navigate to the jobs section
  • Click on Find a Job
  • Select any of the available jobs that you are interested in
  • When prompted with the “You are about to switch jobs” pop-up, click “OK”

This will automatically quit your current job and start a new one for your sim. All of the above steps can also be done from a computer if you have one.

How to Quit Job in The Sims 4

Jobs are one of the main ways to earn money in The Sims 4 without cheating. That being said, there are tons of reasons to quit your job in the Sims 4. Just like in real life, work takes its toll on sims, and may make them unhappy. Or, maybe you just need some time to move houses.

Here’s how to quit your job in Sims 4:

  • Go to your phone and navigate to the jobs section
  • Click on Quit Job
  • When prompted with the “Are you sure you want to quit your job?” pop-up, click OK
